VISITOR MOORAGE AT THE VRC
The Vancouver Rowing Club is a favourite destination for boaters from across the Pacific Northwest. Nestled in beautiful Coal Harbour, we offer short-term guest moorage throughout the year to:

Whether you're stopping by for a night or planning a longer visit, we’re pleased to welcome you to our historic clubhouse and marina.
Reservation & Arrival Information
Booking a Reservation
Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak season. To request moorage, complete our Visitor Request Form or contact the Club Office:

Upon Arrival

If you have a reservation: proceed to your assigned slip, tie up, and check in at the office within 30 minutes.

If you do not have a reservation: tie up at the Reception Dock (next to the Mast Tower) and check in at the Club Office immediately. The Reception Dock is not available for overnight stays.
Moorage Rates & Eligibility
VRC Non-Mooring Yachting Members

2 free nights per month (max. 12 per year)

Additional nights: $0.75/foot/day + $5/day utility fee

Maximum stay: 5–7 days, space permitting

Longer stays (14+ days) require approval and a safety inspection
Reciprocal Yacht Club Members
Transient Guests (No Club Affiliation)
Cancellation Policy
To support fair access and effective planning:

Stays of 1–2 nights may be cancelled at any time without penalty.

Stays of 3 nights or longer require 48 hours' notice for cancellation.

Late cancellations (under 48 hours’ notice) for 3+ night stays and any no-shows are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
No-shows or repeated last-minute cancellations may result in loss of future booking privileges.
Visitor Moorage Guidelines

Reservations are recommended; drop-ins cannot be guaranteed.

Check-in/Check-out time is 12:00 PM (noon).

Proof of insurance and ownership is required at check-in.

Valid credit card required for payment and access fob deposit.

All fees are due at time of check-in.

VRC members and reciprocal guests must present a current membership card.

Reciprocal privileges do not extend to outstations.

Utility fee of $5/day applies to every night, including complimentary ones.

Power: 20 or 30 amp available.

Potable water: Available at all slips.
-
Pump-out system available – View instructional video.

Please leave all moorage lines, cables, and gear in good order.

Use fenders on both sides of your vessel.

Pets must be leashed on docks. Only service animals may enter the clubhouse.

Visitor vehicles must use public parking. The VRC member lot is strictly reserved—non-member vehicles will be ticketed or towed.

Guests are welcome in the Carver Room member bar.

Gym access is for members only.

Please do not enter or walk through rowing shell bays.

Washrooms and showers are available 24hrs/day at no charge.

Ice (cubed and blocked): $5/bag. Please leave cash in drop box mounted on the staircase to the right of the ice machine. Only VRC members with club accounts may use ice chits.

Long-Term Guest Moorage
Subject to availability, VRC members may request extended guest moorage. If approved to stay longer than 14 days, vessels must complete a club safety inspection within their first two weeks to avoid penalties.
